how to win a round

basically, you make sets of tiles to win. you can win when you have a 3/3/3/2 set of tiles. according to the pattern of the set, the set type will change. some set types are not in the 3/3/3/2 form. when you have those kinds of set types, you can win even if you don't have the tiles in the 3/3/3/2 form. TENPAI is a situation which you can win at the next right tile.

if the tiles are gone and no one wins, TENPAI players gets points from the players that are not TENPAI (NOTEN). that is 3000 points in total. it is shared by TENPAI and NOTEN players. (if there are 2 NOTEN players, each TENPAI players gets 1500 points from each.)

there are no KANTSU (4 tile set) like in regular Mahjong.
